Avery is 18 months!

I can't believe it! Avery is 18 months old! A year and a half! Wow! The following are some of the many fun things that she is doing right now:

• Words she is saying: Mommy, Daddy, Abby, Nana, Papa, Grammy (her own version), Grampa (her own version), dog, cat, flower, bubble, ball, baby, bobo, diaper, cheese, horse, eyes, ears, tie, apple, hi, bye bye, down, please, kiss, and she copies the inflection for almost anything such as thank you, bless you, love you.
• She is still signing eat, more, please, thank you, bird, airplane, fish, hat, water, milk, book, fan, and can point to all her body parts.
• When you ask her to do something like pointing to her nose or shaking her head or dancing, she points 1 at at time to everyone who is around for them to do the same. It is really funny to watch.
• She loves to dance and is adorable to watch! Her favorite song is "If you're happy and you know it."
• She loves for you to sit and read her a book and there is no mistaking that that is what she wants as she signs book and pats the floor or couch beside her.
• She is a good eater, especially with fruit...she loves blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, grapes, oranges, apples, kiwi, and also loves tomatoes, cheese, turkey, avocado, cucumber, broccoli, kidney beans; she will try just about anything and usually likes it...she even ate salmon with tomatillo sauce the other day and loved it!
• She loves her puzzles and watching Baby Einstein and her Your Baby Can Read DVDs
• She is very sweet and affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses and hugs...I absolutely it when she runs to me with her arms open and says, "MOMMY!" I just melt!
• She loves her Daddy and playing with him, especially crawling on him on the floor and being lifted upside down.
• She loves her baby brother Luke and loves to pat him and give him hugs and kisses. She often runs in our room to peek over the edge of the pack-n-play to check on him.
• She loves our golden retriever Abby and loves to hug her and crawl all over her. Thankfully, Abby seems to love it too and is great with her.
• When someone leaves, she loves to run to our front room and look at the window so she can wave as they drive off.
• She amazes us and makes us laugh every single day with her precious demeanor and adorable actions. We love you Avery!
